PlumCom — Plum Communications Inc.
PlumCom

Our Story · Founded 1984

Relationships build business.

PlumCom was founded in 1984, when the exhibition industry looked very different from today. The company was built on a simple belief: strong business comes from understanding people, building relationships and creating opportunities for meaningful connection.

Over the years, PlumCom has evolved from producing exhibitions and events to helping organizations strengthen sales, uncover new revenue opportunities and turn existing contacts into meaningful business conversations. That experience gives PlumCom a practical understanding of both the operational and commercial sides of the industry.

The Challenge

The opportunity is often already there.

Organizations invest significant time and resources attracting exhibitors and sponsors. Yet many contacts receive little meaningful follow-up. Others request information and are never contacted again. Many existing leads simply sit untouched, with no one determining whether they represent untapped revenue.

The real challenge isn’t generating more leads. It’s identifying which existing leads deserve a meaningful conversation.

A Focused Approach

Clear thinking. Practical action. Personal attention.

Every organization is different. PlumCom takes the time to understand the business, the priorities and what needs to be accomplished.

Our approach is straightforward and flexible, focused on the work that matters, thoughtful communication and practical support that complements your team.

Jai holds the internationally recognized Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) designation through the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), widely recognized as the global standard of professional achievement in the exhibition industry.

Her commitment to professional education has been equally significant. Jai’s commitment to the industry extends well beyond her professional career. She has been an active volunteer leader with both IAEE and the Canadian Association of Exposition Management (CAEM), serving for many years on committees, task forces, executive leadership, conference programs and mentoring initiatives. She has served as a CAEM board member, presenter, conference presenter, mentor and founding advisor to the Canadian Event Planner and Exposition Advisory Council.

Her leadership and contributions have been recognized by IAEE through a featured Member Spotlight and a published endorsement on the back cover of Art of the Show, the association’s primary educational resource for CEM participants. Clients value Jai for her industry knowledge, her ability to listen, ask insightful questions and build genuine relationships that create lasting business opportunities.
